Deribit has announced its relocation from Netherlands to Panama next month due to impending EU regulations.The derivatives exchange made the decision to remove its trading services from Europe after news that AML regulation surrounding the cryptocurrency industry will become much stricter. The framework named 5AMLD will call for greater amounts of personal data from customers, in order to improve measures for the prevention of financing terrorism and money laundering. Deribit is not willing to comply with the new requirements, along with several other crypto-related companies that have moved their business outside of Europe.
